       DIDACTIC PLAYGROUND 

With this project we are trying to help children with developmental problems, and through planned games. With didactic toys they will improve their skills and find pleasure in playing games, they improve their motorical abilities, attention, they are socialized and they spent quality time with family.

The number of members of our association is bigger every day, so our need for this kind of program is bigger.

We have need to emphasise that on this area – Split,  there is no kind of playgrounds.

In Zagreb, in The association  Puž and in The Association Oko exists such playgrounds, but traveling in Zagreb for this program is not possible (because of financial and accomodation problems).
Establishing The Playground we allow our children with different disabilities approach to quality didactic toys (that toys are mostly made from specijal materials that fits children with disabilities), and education of parents for maximal encouragement of development of our children with special needs.
Child can learn about world through the game and that is way all experts accent great importants of quality toys that we offer to any child.

Playing games is good for developing  smartness, logical   reasoning, perceiving, communication and they shape concepts about relations that exists in real world.

Thanks to games children learn in interesting way and they built positive  attitudes and they become more socialized. Healthy child learn about the world with his five senses. Children with special needs have different biological disabilities that  interference  their abillity of functioning in outside world, so it is important to accent how much are our children underpriviledged.

Our children hardly exept informations about their environment, a perception of world is distorted.

Because of that importance of didactic toys is even bigger.

Such a toys is made from team of experts (speach therapist, defectologist, working therapist, physical therapist and psycologist), and it is made of top quality materials.

First playground is opened in Sweden in 1963, and today they are usual in public care to persons  with problems (they are financed by ministry of health and of social care, and by other related ministries).

 Their succesful development playgrounds can thank to this facts:
- they are local and they are accommodating to many different conditions
- they request mostly not so big investments: space, basic equipment and few collaborators
- families are aided in acquiring everyday moral and material problems, and children with special    needs have opportunity for quality learning and they get understandings about themselves and world in which they live
